Each Dentist at OC Smile Factory is trained and experienced with using ZOOM! system of dental whitening, this system, can be used in anyone over the age of 13 who is not pregnant an in good health. After a whitening gel is applied to the teeth to be treated, the Zoom! lamp activates the hydrogen peroxide in the gel and in the time of routine dental visit or teeth cleaning, a bright and attractive smile is the result.
Fortunately at OC Smile Factory you can have the brightness of your smile in about an hour.
If you are looking for a permanent and secure replacement for missing teeth, dental implants may be your best option. Dental implants are today’s best alternative to natural teeth. Dental implants function as anchors for traditional forms of dentistry, including dental crowns, bridges, or dentures.
The implant(s) are positioned into your jaw in place of your original teeth and then used as a support for replacement teeth.
Many of our patients will tell you that dental implants have changed not only their smiles and overall appearance, but also their lives! Dental implants offer a natural looking and secur alternative to removable dentures. They can improve the taste of your food, improve your ability to chew, and even eliminate facial cosmetic changes and “shrinkage” by helping to support bone structure and facial tissues. Everything that can be done with natural teeth can be done with dental implants!
Patients who have lost their natural teeth due to decay, periodontal disease or injury can suffer from related problems including further decay, difficulty eating and speaking, and drooping of facial muscles. Full and partial dentures replace the missing teeth both aesthetically and functionally, providing support and restoring the smile. Full (complete) dentures are used when all of the natural teeth have been lost, while partial dentures fill in the gaps between natural teeth. The gums, dentures and any remaining natural teeth will need to be cleaned regularly to prevent staining, sores and plaque build-up.
Porcelain crowns are strong, long lasting, and absolutely stunning in their recreation of natural teeth. The color is so natural that you may have a very difficult time telling these from your original teeth. And thanks to the latest digital technology, our high speed x-rays can show exactly what is happening underneath these beautiful materials, allowing us to treat and prevent decay that would normally go undiscovered.
Experts estimate that 75% of us could benefit from orthodontic care. It may require braces, invisaling, surgery, special appliances or a combination of procedures.
The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends an
orthodontic screening for children by the age of 7 years. At age 7 the teeth and jaws are developed enough so that the dentist or orthodontist can see if there will be any serious bite problems in the future. Most of the time treatment is not necessary at age 7, but it gives the parents and dentist time to watch the development of the patient and decide on the best mode of treatment. When you have time on your side you can plan ahead and prevent the formation of serious problems.
We offer you the broadest spectrum of treatment options, we can help you to find the best and the fastest path to your best possible smile.

It is very important to maintain the health of the primary teeth. Neglected
cavities can and frequently do lead to problems which affect developing
permanent teeth. Primary teeth, or baby teeth are important for (1) proper
chewing and eating, (2) providing space for the permanent teeth and
guiding them into the correct position, and (3) permitting normal
development of the jaw bones and muscles. Primary teeth also affect the
development of speech and add to an attractive appearance. While the
front 4 teeth last until 6-7 years of age, the back teeth (cuspids and molars)
aren’t replaced until age 10-13.
It’s tough being a kid and growing up and is even tougher when you have
crooked, discolored or damaged teeth, this not only have lasting effects on
a child’s confidence, it can cause pain and health issues as well.
If you want a consultation for your child or children, take a minute to contact
us immediately. We can look at your child’s teeth and give you an educated
consultation as to what is the best option. We want your child to have a
healthy, bright and winning smile.
Sleep apnea is the complete stoppage of air entering our lungs during sleep for at least ten seconds in adults, people with sleep apnea stop breathing while they sleep, sometimes hundreds of times per night, sometimes for a minute or longer. The lungs receive a reduced amount of oxygen, when the brain detect the lower levels of oxygen in our blood it immediately awakens us just enough to take a quick breath or two.
Sleep apnea affects about 18 million people of all ages in the U.S. and takes three forms: obstructive, central and mixed. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), the most common form, occurs when the soft tissue at the back of the throat closes, blocking (obstructing) the person’s airway. The airway remains open in central sleep apnea, but the brain does not send signals to the muscles involved in breathing. Mixed sleep apnea combines aspects of the obstructive and central types. A common warning sign of sleep apnea is snoring (especially snoring interspersed with gasps or lack of breathing) although the two are not always related.
Signs and Symptions of Sleep Apnea
Because sufferers are roused from sleep briefly to resume proper breathing, disrupting and lowering the quality of a person’s rest, sleep apnea can cause a number of problems. If left untreated, it can result in high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, stroke, memory problems, weight gain, impotency, headaches, and daytime fatigue leading to job impairment and motor vehicle crashes.
There are a variety of treatments available for sleep apnea, including oral applicance therapy, mandibular repositioning and tongue-retaining devices, nasal sprays, traditional surgery, laser-assisted uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (not usually recommended) and nasal surgery. If you think you are suffering from sleep apnea, talk with Dr. Coe. She will discuss which treatment is right for you.
With porcelain veneers, you can have a beautiful smile in less than three weeks! Porcelain veneers offer an easy and dramatic way to close gaps between teeth, mask discolored teeth, and straighten misaligned teeth. In many cases, porcelain veneers can be used as an alternative to orthodontics. Because porcelain is durable and resists staining, most of our patients prefer porcelain veneers to more invasive restorations involving dental crowns. With porcelain veneers, your smile can be transformed in as little as two visits!ts!

Despite regular brushing and flossing, tooth decay, gum disease and tooth disease can still show up. When a toothache appears is a sign that the tooth’s nerve is under attack by bacteria, usually due tooth disease /decay or gum disease and sometimes the infection has progressed too far for even fix it and the tooth needs to be removed.
After the tooth has been removed is necessary to replace the gap it creates with dental bridge or dental implant. This permit normal eating, chewing and smiling, this eliminates the ugly gap into which the other teeth may drift.
Bone can be lost by tooth or gum disease or if a tooth is missing or extracted, the bone may collapse into the empty socket and cause a sunken appearance to the cheeks or jaw. A bone graft can fix these conditions caused by dental disease or a result from an accident, and can also be used to create a solid foundation for a dental implant.
Periodontal disease can affect the bone that supports the teeth, but can also be injured by ill-fitting partials and dentures or other dental bridge work.
When a tooth is removed or lost is necessary to fill the empty socket with a bone graft. This missing bone can be replaced with either bone taken from somewhere
else in your body, also can be synthetic, from bovine sources or recovered from a cadaver.
If the bite is not aligned properly and or the patient clenches or grinds the teeth a jaw-joint pain cycle of soreness and muscle spasm can occur. Teeth grinding or teeth clenching-bruxism can occur when there are mechanical problems with the bite or it can be a physical reaction to phycological stressors. People under stress often clench and or grind their teeth, either consciously or unconsciously.
